Throughout the years, the main attraction to The Woods has been the tranquility of a setting among mature eucalyptus trees. The city of Rancho Cucamonga has strict guidelines for preserving the trees, and homeowners are required to cooperate with these guidelines. After all, it wouldn't be "The Woods" without the trees!
In recent years, tree maintenance has become more of a problem for the homeowners, as there is an infestation of Lerp Psyllid. Some of the trees have become diseased or died. The city has recommended the replacement of deseased or dead Red Gum eucalyptus trees with another variety, either Sugar Gum (E. caldocalyx) or Manna Gum (E. Viminalis Labill), which are resistant to the Lerp Psyllid.
